Missing Piece Bakery creates high quality, fresh baked confections from scratch for any occasion. Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, cake pops, truffles, scones, and danishes are among the confections that the bakery offers on it’s menu.

Missing Piece Bakery’s mission is to create edible, personalized works of art for all its customers’ celebrations. Missing Piece Bakery also has a mission to raise autism awareness through its Annual Puzzle Piece Cookie Sale as well as helping to fund wishes for kids for Make-A-Wish Vermont through its Annual Beardie Cookie Sale.

Having a design background and being artistic are strong qualities that assist me with creating the sweet works of culinary art that customers desire. The Swanton community hasn’t had a local bakery in a number of years to pop into when they are wanting to pick up a made from scratch confection. I have been baking out of my home for about 20 years and started Missing Piece Bakery a bit over 6 years ago. I’m ready to make the next step to help change the community in a sweet way. Missing Piece Bakery will be the local, home town bakery to make that personalized sweet confection to complete any celebration as well as the go to place to meet a friend or colleague for a sweet treat and cup of coffee or tea! With a newly renovated commercial space coming available within the heart of the Village of Swanton, now’s the time to grasp this opportunity and move the bakery into it’s next phase. The owners of the commercial space are wanting to bring in a local, small town bakery within their establishment. They stated that the model that Missing Piece Bakery has is exactly what they are looking for!

This funding will assist bringing Missing Piece Bakery out of my home kitchen and into this newly renovated space. Being that the available space is a vanilla box construction all equipment and installations need to be completed prior to the bakery opening up.
