Her Place Is In: 2021

What started up in Oakland as a group of women wanting to create together, Her Place Is In has evolved into an organization dedicated to social action through art.

Focused on building community, celebrating diversity and empowering femininity, we are committed to sharing stories, advancing social education, and creating spaces for conversations that lead to real change.

In our initial phases, our main focus has been photoshoots and art shows centered on themes that mattered to us and were aligned with our values. When the pandemic hit, we shifted for a time to online courses taught by community leaders, covering things like mental health, art, small-business info, and wellness.

Now, we're embarking on our  2021 goal: launching our creative agency branch and our podcast. We're excited, but we could use your help. If you'd like to support us as we develop these branches, please consider donating. Donations big or small will help us to do what we do. The money will go to things like equipment, advertising/marketing, employing free-lanches, etc.
