Crafty Kids Academy offers online, ultra-affordable STEAM-based lessons in arts & crafts to homeschool students aged 4-10 that encourages using recycled materials. The STEAM concept (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) is a philosophy of education that embraces teaching skills in a way that resembles real life.

THE PROBLEM

Unfortunately, there is a lack of quality online art programs available to young homeschool students.

There is also a belief by parents that incorporating arts & crafts into their homeschool curriculum can be an expensive endeavor, especially regarding supplies.

In addition, some parents tend to believe arts & crafts don't necessarily belong in a homeschool curriculum – this may be because they just aren't aware of all the benefits.

Then, of course, most parents believe they aren't artistic, so they don't believe they have true ability to teach art effectively.

💫OUR SOLUTION

Crafty Kids Academy solves these problems by providing a solution that provides an ultra-affordable online option that utilizes a multitude of ♻️recycled products. 

We then provide lessons that were designed by an architect, engineer, artist, and occupational therapist specifically to bring the A (arts) in STEAM-based learning for students.

Each lesson teaches valuable super skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, judgement, time management, and so much more. Having these skills will have a direct and positive impact on their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Our program is a complete curriculum that requires very little effort from the parent. We provide an online, password protected academy that has step-by-step high quality video lessons with relevant documents to be printed out for use by the students. We also supply the parent (or adult raising the child) with a supply list for each lesson, with recommendations for saving money and using recycled materials. There is also a parent review sheet provided that includes information on what their child has learned in that lesson and a recommended follow-up activity, so the parent is ‘in the know’ and has something fun they can do with the child later to continue to reinforce what was learned.

Homeschooling has become very popular in the United States and other countries since the Covid Pandemic. With concerns on the quality of public education and issues with school emergencies, the homeschooling option continues to grow.

I am a grandmother who is helping to raise and homeschool my two grandchildren, ages four and seven. This helped me identify that there is a need to have quality arts & craft programs available to homeschool students. With my 20+ years of experience in the corporate world, my ability to create and effectively market online programs, and my vast experience and passion with arts & crafts I created Crafty Kids Academy to bring an ultra-affordable, educational, and super-fun program to kids around the world.
