Hi! My name is Shannon Donahue. I read romance novels. I read A LOT of romance novels.
I was 12 when my best friend handed me “Louisiana Dawn” by Jennifer Blake while on a canoe trip down the Suwannee River.
I was immediately hooked and have been voraciously reading romance of all types ever since. Like many among us I spent my adolescence hiding the types of books I read. That habit carried over into adulthood where I was quick to call the books I loved “trashy” or “guilty pleasures.” But No More!
In the last 5 years, I have been overjoyed to find “Romancelandia.” A community of women (and some men) who love the same books I do and are unashamed. I have learned so much about myself and the books I love from Romancelandia.
When you are an artist and love something as much as I love Romancelandia the natural progression is to translate that love into the other thing I love: Art. That is what I have done here and all of that love and passion can be seen on the pages of my very first calendar!

If you back the calendar between 10/10 - 10/13 you have the chance to be included on the calendars cover! see the picture below!
Each month will have a new illustration that captures a facet of our lives as fans of romance and reading. I have also strived to keep the calendar as inclusive in holidays as possible. When possible there will be large conferences and book signings listed as well. I will be hand illustrating each major illustration. Instead of using a stock calendar I will also be illustrating that, including holiday illustrations and special nods to our beloved books. I hope in creating this calendar I can expand my romance community even more!
I have included four reward tiers with some amazing swag, as well as the opportunity for some of you to become a part of the calendar itself! Each tier, named after a romance trope that I love, will include something for everyone.

The funding raised by this campaign will finance the first run of printing of the calendar as well as the creation of additional romance-themed swag. A portion from each sale will be donated to Fair Fight 2020, An organization started by Stacey Abrams (pen name, Selena Montgomery) to fight for free and fair elections for all.
Funding this campaign will also be financing the dreams of an artist who loves romance novels and the community that we have created.
