Growing With Wonder is a high-quality, early childhood education program that honors and celebrates everyone who enters. We pride ourselves on implementing a relationship based approach with an emphasis on social and emotional learning. We believe that honoring the diverse perspectives each member of our community brings to the table allows us to create a respectful and safe environment which encourages students, educators, and families to teach and learn from each other. We recognize the value each person's uniqueness brings to our school and together strengthens our community and helps us work towards building a better tomorrow.
We believe every young child deserves the high-quality early learning experience provided within our program. We plan to serve families of all socioeconomic backgrounds with children birth to age five. With our multi-age approach to learning children will learn with and from each other and accept various levels of mastery while strengthening their social and emotional skills in an organically supportive educational environment. This is different than most early childhood education programs because the majority of schools split their classrooms by age, which can unintentionally breed competition and bullying instead of empathy, tolerance, and support.
With the childcare crisis facing the state of Vermont and beyond, we think there should be more phenomenal early educational programs available for parents to choose from, not less. The Growing With Wonder School will create 20 more childcare spots in the Burlington area. These spots will be available for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
We have planted the Early Childhood Education seeds, but we need your help to raise $100,000 to make them grow and blossom!
We have found the perfect location for our school to call home, but we are short the funds needed to secure the property. Every child deserves the best start in life and we feel in our bones that this home is best place to build the sense of love, support, and community to make that happen. With your help we will be able to make real change and provide an educational experience that will have an enormous impact on the children and families of Vermont that will be felt and reverberate through our beautiful state for years and years to come.
