Our Story
I came up with the idea for gr8nola when I was craving a tasty yet healthy snack during a post-Super Bowl "cleanse" my hubby and I do each year. Stuck with few options that weren't loaded with refined sugars and inflammatory oils, I created my own granola recipe using clean ingredients and nutrient-dense superfoods. My granola was so good that I created a side business in 2013, selling it at my local farmers market while working full time in the tech industry. After nearly 5 years of side hustling, I finally left my 10-year tech career to pursue gr8nola full-time with the mission of helping other eat, feel and be their best through clean snacking!
Why Gr8nola?
We all know it's a hard act to balance both nutrition and taste when it comes to our daily food choices, which is why our mission is to make delicious and clean superfood snacks accessible to the masses. We’re innovating and modernizing granola, a very simple and familiar product which has been a traditionally stale category, and elevating it by infusing it with nutritious superfoods like matcha, turmeric, chai spices, activated charcoal and more. All products are non-GMO, soy, dairy and refined sugar free and lightly sweetened with monk fruit and as delicious as they are gr8 for you.
Our Impact
Our newest flavor Peanut Butter, featuring stress-relieving ashwagandha, was launched in partnership with United Nations Foundation Girl Up and celebrity photographer Nigel Barker where 8% of proceeds be donated to Girl Up. Not only does this flavor help fight for global gender equality, it also represents the hard work and creativity of five Girl Up teen leaders who I mentored behind-the-scenes over six months to help me develop it — all the way from concept to launch.
