The glow up believes that true beauty is the one that comes from within. I wanted to create a line of cosmetics that reveal your inner radiance by using ingredients that not only make your skin glow, but deliver noticeable results that you feel and others can see.
Our cosmetics give you the confidence in knowing our products are good for you and the environment through our clean ingredients. Unlike others, The glow up makes you glow inside & out!
The beauty industry is a self- regulated 445 billion dollar industry and has been unregulated since 1938, leaving brands to use any words and green adjectives as they please. As a result, harmful ingredients such as talc, methylparaben, propylparaben are among harmful components that can be found in major retail stores.
As a beauty and skincare enthusiast, I started making my own products at home because i felt the need in the market to be more transparent in their sourcing methods and ingredients. For instance, just because a company is considered cruelty- free doesn’t mean they’re not using parabens on their products.
I realized I wanted to emphasize on creating a clean beauty cosmetics line #millenialapproved.
There’s a lot of green organic brands in the market but they’re not targeting me and many people my age as consumers. Clean beauty embraces natural and safe synthetic ingredients, with a focus on efficacy to our skin and transparency.
I would use the money raised with the help of IFundWomen to develop and rebrand in order to enter new markets.
My current business name “The glow up by Angie” doesn’t stick to the customer’s mind, and it does not stand out. Most importantly, it doesn’t capture the essence of what the products truly stand for. Along with rebranding I would use the capital to enhance my packaging and make it more sustainable, I would also hire a chemist to extend my foundation line in order to compete with existing brands that currently offer a wide range of foundations.
One of my biggest dreams is going to beauty expos and exhibiting my products, showing what clean beauty is while spreading awareness thru accurate, and easy to understand product packaging.
Teaching girls all over America how to read makeup labels, and choosing wisely in their buying choices, not just products in the makeup counter! If you want to support clean beauty, and products made here in USA Join me on this journey!

I don’t look like the typical entrepreneur at a pitching event. Most of the times I am the only latina, sometimes even the only millennial in the room. If you mixed these two I usually get blank stares my way. People constantly tell me to brand my business as a latina owned brand. If someone that looks like me can relate to my physique, they will buy. But you see, cancer doesn’t care about your background, the color of your skin or the country you are from. According to the Environmental Working Group, women use an average of 12 products a day, containing 168 different chemicals. Men use fewer products, but still put 85 chemicals on their bodies. With Ifundwomen being a platform that embraces women and diversity I want to not only raise capital for my business but raise awareness to the numerous chemicals we apply to our skin on a daily basis. I want to reward others who are funding my dreams in ways that can better their lifestyle. I curated a selection of current customer’s favorites as well as an educational PDF exclusively for my backers of this campaign!
