Glam on Demand is a revolutionary beauty and personal care app that brings all of your favorite beauty, cosmetic, personal hygiene, and skincare products to your fingertips and to your doorstep. The Glam on Demand app allows customers and users to download the app at no cost, Browse through our selections of items and vendors partners as well as our selection of partner salons and studios, place an order or schedule an appointment and then have that appointment start or order delivered within the next 30 minutes. 

 Glam on Demand’s mission is to give African American women access to a luxury beauty and personal care experience that meets all their needs in one place. Our goal for our partners is connecting minority owned and specialized ethnic beauty brands both small and large with their target audiences on a platform that will increase their engagement and allow customers to interact with their brand as a luxury experience.

Glam on Demand acts as a channel for business growth and accessibility for all our vendors.  For our users, Glam on Demand provides unprecedented access to items that are often left out of the on-demand delivery sector. African-Americans spend $1.2 trillion each year, and that number is projected to rise to $1.5 trillion by 2021. In 2018 the Black hair care industry raked in an estimated $2.51 billion, as Black consumers have progressively made the switch from general products to those that specifically cater to them. In 2017 African-Americans captured 86 percent of the ethnic beauty market, accounting for $54 million of the $63 million spent, Nielsen reported. In 2017 they also spent $127 million on grooming aids and $465 million on skin care. With these kinds of projections and spending patterns the black beauty and self-care industry needs a niche of its own that provides exclusive access to our products. 

Our Founder and CEO is currently funding the business out of pocket and via her own savings. Any funding received will be used as working capital and payroll costs for stocking inventory, app and web hosting costs and fees, marketing, and license and certificate fees.

Our CEO Shandra Huntt is a Howard University alumna, and Atlanta native from African American, West Indian & Afro-Latino heritage. She has a background in communications and was inspired to start the app in 2019, after seeing the absence of women of color at the technology leadership table and the lack of innovative technology geared towards the black beauty niche.
