Fund the Future of Flora Lee

This fundraiser will help a Black, woman-owned indie skincare brand continue its success by scaling up fufillment to better meet the demands of our consumers and our current national retailer partners like Urban Outfitters! These funds will also enable us to focus on developing new products and bringing them to market.

Flora Lee Naturals is a small-batch, skincare brand based in Cincinnati Ohio and owned by me, Nia Baucke. I began my skincare making journey in 2017, after realizing that over-the-counter harsh chemical treatments were not serving my oily acne-prone skin well. Using the wisdom of the naturalistas in my life, like my grandmother Flora Lee, I went back to the basics-- using natural, often handmade, products to heal my skin. 

Since launching Flora Lee, I’ve worked full-time while simultaneously growing my the business. It's incredible to think about the traction that we've made. Our biggest success thus far is launching into Urban Outfitters: becoming one of the few black-owned beauty brands on the site. This summer, I'll be going full-time with Flora Lee to help take the business to the next level. 

In order to meet demand and grow, I need to be able to purchase materials in larger quantities and bring on part-time help (yay creating jobs!).  It's also my hope to use these funds to secure the roll out of our newest product ideas.
