Frequently Asked Questions:
- What will my money go towards?
With coronavirus hitting at the same time we launched our company, my husband and I continue to provide free medical care, free medications and free lab testing to people in need. We need your support and money so we can continue to provide medical services and pay for back-end operations such as rent and medical supplies.
- Why did you start this company?
My husband and I have had the privilege to live in and visit many countries, and everywhere we have been, we saw first hand how important access to good healthcare is. Things like high blood pressure and pregnancy are the same in any part of the world.
When we moved back to the United States, our daughter needed a simple check-up, and we realized just how complicated and expensive the system made it for routine visits. Luckily, my husband is a doctor, so we weren't in a rush. But not everyone is married to a doctor. On that day, we decided to start a company with the purpose to truly make a difference and make medical care easy in America.
We literally get asked this question so much! I guess for most people, the concept of truly end-to-end free healthcare in a setting that is warm and inviting is difficult to understand. It's simple - there is NO catch. We have a very clear model - our consumers buy our eco-friendly products and we use that money to provide free medical care to the community through our own clinics and tele-health services.
- What kind of doctors do you employ at your Family Medicine clinic?
Our amazing Doctor (and my husband), Dr. Buch is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician (MD) and diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has experience in multiple specialties and locations (both locally and internationally). He holds an active license to practice in the state of California, and along with The Wellnus Clinic, works at a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center for low-income populations, and once a week at a homeless shelter.
- What do you envision for the company?
We have big dreams. We can grow to get more specialized services on board, potentially open hospitals, or even try to open a free medical clinic in every city in the United States. We know that sounds crazy, but we know we can do it. There are many companies offering boutique medical care with high subscription fees etc., but we're the first in the country to do it completely free of charge. Revolutionary / industry changing ideas take time, but we're driven by the want to make a true difference to our community and country.
