Project Description

About Foeworkers

Foeworkers is a workplace comedy webseries about two co-workers who'd rather put in a long day of working each other's nerves than doing the work.

We've all had co-workers who have driven us absolutely batty, even pulling us out of our character to create workplace wars. Since your livelihood is at stake, you can't quite recreate the latest episode of "Real Housewives of New York" and throw top shelf liquor at each other. Instead, you settle for "differences of opinions" in the middle of conference room A that increase in volume as you poorly try to conceal your disdain of your Foeworker.

While absolutely infuriating in the moment, Foeworkers offer us the opportunity to look forward to something, even if it's just pointing out spelling errors in their presentation. For eight hours a day and 40 hours a week, like it or not, Foeworkers encourage us to be better (or at least better than them).

On tv, we always see women as secondary characters, often at odds with one another over to a man but seeing two women at each other's neck regarding work is so much more realistic. When women are featured a primary characters, they're usually driven by trauma. But women are so much bigger than adversity, we deserve to each ourselves on screen in full color, quirks and all.

Foeworkers is the mania in the mundane. It is fun in the formalities. It's a female driven show that we not only deserve but it's one that we all know.

Meet our cast

Hey, that's me!

My name is Cynia Barnwell and I'm a writer and performer living in New York City. As a native New Yorker, I know the importance of bodega cats, strip clubs, and public libraries. I've been fortunate enough to develop several pilots and I've been performing across the city since 2008. Biweekly, I get to light up the world famous UCB stage during Lloyd Night with "Fight Clurb".

Most importantly, Cynia firmly believes you should not trust people with a Hotmail account.

Vanessa Golembewski

Vanessa Golembewski is a TV and digital comedy person based in Brooklyn. She is a UCB-trained performer, writer, producer, director, and two-time Moth StorySLAM champion.

She also consults on and creates comedy for brands and media companies, including Refinery29, Billboard, Allure, Teen Vogue, Spotify, Bustle, and Above Average. Her hit series "Five Phases" is now playing on thousands of Delta flights around the world.
