Project Description

  • Our mantra at Feed Me Mother is "Feed Freely". Through our uniquely designed breastfeeding clothing, we want to empower breastfeeding Mothers to breastfeed easily & freely whether they are out meeting friends for coffee, doing a mum &baby yoga class, or chilling at home with their baby.
  •  Breastfeeding Mothers don’t want to breastfeed in ‘mumsy’, ill-fitting maternity clothes. They want a new stylish breastfeeding wardrobe that empowers and supports their new post-partum bodies. Another function pain point is that traditional breastfeeding clothes often have very complicated nursing functions , fiddley clasps, flaps and zips. The alternative is to yank and stretch the necklines of regular clothing which destroys these clothing items.
  • The maternity wear market size was valued at $12.25 billion in 2021 and is projected to reach $16.57 billion by 2028. There were close to 60,000 births registered in  Ireland in 2019 & 2021.
  •  Feed Me Mother is a positive breastfeeding brand  & community that supports mothers in their postpartum journey.  Feed Me Mother t-shirts are lovingly designed and manufactured in Ireland from a sustainably soft fabric called Tencel tm. Our t-shirts empower modern mothers to feed freely and easily. All they have to do is lift & go. No awkward zips, clasps or weird flaps. Just a high quality, breastfeeding friendly t-shirt that is also environmentally friendly. The design is simple, deep side slits and a flattering rounded hem means you can  pull up easily and feed anytime, anywhere. You can wear it over your favourite nursing vest or high waisted leggings or jeans for a cooler feel.  Tencel™ fibres are extracted from the wood pulp of trees that are grown and replaced on sustainably managed forests. Tencel is produced in an environmentally responsible closed-loop production process using a non-toxic organic solvent. The resulting flexible fibre is renowned for its exceptional softness with a natural stretch. So no more  ripping your t-shirts or yanking yank your clothes out of shape.
  •  I am seeking funding because I want to grow and scale my business. I will use the funding in two ways. Firstly to increase my product offering. I will be able to roll out new designs a lot faster, adding more value for my customers. I will also use the funding to develop a marketing strategy that will help me reach a wider audience both in Ireland and abroad, increasing my chances of exporting to other countries.
  • One very driven person - me! Hoping to hire somebody else part-time.
