The mission of our project is to first, lead a paradigm shift in executive recruiting. We believe it will be tone deaf to try and re-enter the market post pandemic pitching large recruiting fees for companies who have been seriously damaged over the past several months. These companies will still need strong leadership now more than ever. Second, our mission is to shift our model from retained search to more of an online product which enables employers to connect more efficiently and meaningfully with candidates. We would monetize through a subscription based model for the employers. So a tech play with recurring revenue.
There are multiple flaws with the existing recruiting platforms in the market today, and feedback from candidates and clients has shown us that many are either not on board with artificial intelligence within recruiting and/or have already had a bad experience with this technology. Our product will offer a combination of tech efficiency and the meaningful human touch and deep assessment.
We believe the market size is unlimited, as we have existing and pipeline client relationships across the country and some international - most are post Series B, micro-cap on up to F500.
We are seeking funding because while I have 20+ years of recruiting experience and co-led a successful recruiting business for 5 years, I recently split off from my partnership in January. I am now being treated as a start-up by the banks with no financial history. I brought the majority of the team with me, as well as my clients. However, we were passed over 2x for PPP funding, and have been fully self funded to date, and my team achieved just over $1M in revenue for the past 2 years. We need funds to invest in the database development process, as well as an effective brand/marketing campaign.
Due to COVID, all of our search work was placed on hold or canceled. We cut any remaining cash burn aggressively and can weather the storm if zero revenue comes in until the beginning of September. We will likely land in the near term a couple search engagements, but need funding to be able to make this critical pivot.
We are woman owned (me) and I employ a single mom (Senior Recruiter) and two other women (Director of Operations and Recruiter). All of us had to take a significant pay-cut due to COVID, but we remain optimistic and energized.
