Brides and Grooms spend, on average, 5-6 hours getting ready for their wedding. Sometimes the venue that a couple carefully selects has a beautiful suite for getting ready the morning of their wedding but most often, this is not an amenity that venues offer.
This is where we come in! We come to a couple’s venue (event space, hotel suite, church classroom or office, home, etc.) and create a custom bridal suite for the wedding morning, then we come back the day after and return the room to its previous condition.
Dream Day Dressing Rooms is a family owned company, that was founded out of necessity.
Amy: "I was planning my wedding in early 2016 and having a brainstorming session with my mom, Heidi. We were creating a timeline for the day of my wedding when we realized that the beautiful hotel I was getting married at would only be able to provide me with a bare-boned conference room, that doubled as their bridal suite. I was having TEN bridesmaids in my wedding party so we knew that we were going to have to find a better solution, so that we would all be able to have our hair and makeup done comfortably (and not have to fight for mirror space). We immediately began googling rental companies in the area, desperately hoping to find a company that could rent us the things we needed. We were dismayed to learn that such a service did not exist in Minnesota, or any where else in the United States. So our business was born and my wedding was our first official job."
The Dream Team
Heidi Mathson, Amy Michaels, and Molly Michaels are the co-owners and co-founders of Dream Day Dressing Rooms.
As business owners we all do a little bit of everything, including lifting and delivering furniture.
We have been focused on our marketing and sales efforts. We were named "Best New Wedding Service" in 2017, and have recieved The Knot's "Best of Weddings" award two years in a row. We also have received 2 Wedding Wire Couples Choice awards!
Our History so far
During our first year we dedicated our time to networking with industry pro's, hitting the wedding fair circuit, and getting our concept "out there.”
Even though we were a brand-new idea, over 50 brides believed in our vision and booked our services, sight unseen.
We just celebrated our second birthday and our second year exploded! We were lucky enough to do projects with:
- the NFL Network for Superbowl 52
- NBC Days of our Lives Meet & Greet
- Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton (private concert)
- Jennifer Lopez (TWICE!)
- BeautyCounter Annual meeting
- University of Minnesota Fashion Fest
In addition to these events, we launched our venue partnership program and did over 120 weddings and events.
To start our third year, we are excited to share that we have grown to 50 venue partners. We conservatively project over 300 weddings and events in 2019.
With great growth comes great need.
We need to expand our inventory and upgrade our delivery system. (That means we need more stuff and a van or truck!)
