Imagine taking a road trip without a phone, a navigation system or a map.
And you're blindfolded.
Now that's crazy.
You would never embark on a journey without a guide, a route, and directions to your destination.
You shouldn't get divorced without those things either.
Every divorce is different, but the challenges are often the same.
No matter who you are, getting divorced is isolating, confusing, technically complex, and emotionally draining.
Where do you start?
Who should you hire to help you?
How will you afford it?
What will you tell your children?
Where can you find reliable answers to your questions?
There's so much to do -- how will you keep track of it all?

Founder, Sonia Queralt
“Divorce is hard. Really hard. We need people in our corner to meet us wherever we are in the process and support us throughout our journey. Divorce is not the end of your life, it is an opportunity to start a new chapter.”
Sonia’s passion for supporting and empowering people facing legal conflict began in Washington, D.C., where she advocated for domestic violence victims seeking the court’s protection while earning her bachelor’s degree from American University. It was there that Sonia first saw the challenges people face while navigating the legal system, and the damaging effect it can have on their lives. Since then Sonia has dedicated her career to helping people and families get through the Family Court system as whole as possible.
As a divorce and family law litigator, Sonia witnessed the confusion, inflexibility, and inefficiencies inherent to the adversarial divorce process; the archaic one-size fits all system often made it unnecessarily difficult to achieve her client’s goals. She saw the value of using technology to simplify and streamline the process, thus saving her clients time, money and stress.
Having experienced her own divorce, Sonia truly appreciates the importance of building a reliable and trustworthy support team. Despite her deep legal understanding of the law, she quickly realized she couldn’t face her own divorce alone. Sonia reached out and created a multi-disciplinary team to support her process – a safe space, where she could begin her personal divorce journey and find her road to recovery.
Sonia founded divorceify to create a safe, confidential space for people to receive the holistic support they need as they navigate divorce and re-build their lives. Sonia wants to provide others with the same team approach that she found so helpful - surround yourself with professionals who really “get it” and you become empowered to embrace the next chapter and build a bright future.
Sonia is originally from Barcelona and is fluent in Spanish and Catalan. She is currently living in Miami Beach, Florida. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, food photography, consulting with other small businesses, yoga, traveling, and spending time with her cat, Bella. She is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, and American University in Washington, D.C.
Co-founder Casey Rose Shevin
“Being a divorce litigator felt like being a cog in a machine that produces a broken widget; the adversarial court system is designed for criminals, not families - it’s time to find a better way.”
Casey began her career in the Massachusetts State Senate where she developed her deep listening, compromise, and advocacy skills as a legislative aide. Her desire to improve the way individuals interact with the legal system brought her to Georgetown Law where she fell in love with family law.
As a divorce and family law attorney, Casey has seen how the adversarial nature of litigation serves to heighten the conflict, costs and stress of divorce. No matter how well Casey did her job at a litigator, she found her clients were never satisfied with the process. In an effort to adapt to our society's changing expectations for divorce, Casey founded Family Centered Law & Mediation PC offering peaceful, efficient, and supportive conflict resolution processes that promote healthy families. Her approach as a divorce and parenting mediator is a practical and compassionate one.
Casey joined divorceify’s founding team because she is passionate about improving the divorce process for families. Those facing divorce need more than just legal support, they also need financial, emotional and personal guidance. Divorceify is developing the one-stop-shop that families in conflict desperately need.
Casey is currently living in Manhattan with her husband where she enjoys urban gardening and escaping the city for adventures in nature whenever she can.
Co-founder Tali Koss
“The world needs more lawyers … who code.”
The business of law and the litigation process as it exists today are unsustainable models that present hurdles to litigants seeking timely, cost effective, and meaningful resolutions. We need passionate lawyers dedicated to modernizing and improving an antiquated legal system. As a lawyer, and most recently as a developer, Tali seeks to bridge the gap between law and technology. She is passionate about executing divorceify’s vision of building impactful technology solutions, which will help millions of individuals and divorce professionals efficiently and effectively navigate the divorce process.
Tali spent several years clerking for Supreme Court judges in the New York State Court System. From this unique vantage point, Tali observed the challenges faced by all parties -- litigants navigating a complex judicial system, attorneys running a practice, and judges balancing a heavy docket. Driven by a desire to effectuate pragmatic solutions to the systemic inefficiencies her work uncovered, Tali learned to code. Her background as a developer and her experience as an attorney for the court, give Tali a distinctive approach to the legal tech space.
Tali received her BA in Economics from Barnard College - Columbia University, and her JD from Brooklyn Law School in New York. Her coding journey began at Launch Academy in Boston, Massachusetts.
Tali is currently living in Boston with her husband and daughter. She looks forward to teaching her daughter to code, and believes in empowering other women and girls to learn to code at any age.
