Project Description
- Here at The Dark Mark, we believe laughter is the best medicine. Our Mission is to bring laughter to every one of life's situations - the good and the bad.
- In a time where people are looking for new ways to communicate with each other, a time where brutal honesty is appreciated, and a time where vintage style crossed with modern life is all the rage; we feel we combine all of those things bringing you greeting cards to add laughter to life's typical holidays and occasions, as well as the more modern occasions that there doesn't seem to be a greeting card out there for including: Divorces, Break-Ups, First Period, Virginity, and announcing Pregnancy out of wedlock.
- During our Pop-Up shop here in Lititz, PA, we discovered that ages from 17-68 can truly appreciate these cards. However, it is truly the ages of 24-42 and 58-68 that really seem to be in the life stages to appreciate our messages.
- Our cards are standard A2 style with a very simple black and white design. We let our greetings do all of the work. Our cards cover all of our standard National and International Holidays and Occasions like: Birthdays, Graduation, Congratulations, Anniversary, Valentine's Day, Winter Holidays, and more; as well as the more modern occasions we listed above!
- With all of the money earned in the campaign, The Dark Mark will be given the opportunity to expand. Right now, The Dark Mark invested their money in initial start-up and current inventory. However, in the Greeting Card industry, your inventory must always be rotating with the current seasons. That's why we are requesting support to grow our inventory for the upcoming Holiday Season. This way, we will have a basic inventory to cover us year-round while we get off the ground. Any support we get in addition to upcoming inventory, will go towards paying down the debt built up during startup.
- The Dark Mark team consists of Founder and CEO, Bryn Alleman and President, Marshall Groome. Bryn and Marshall found each other while both working full-time Managed Healthcare jobs and being single parents. Their ability to find humor during their shared parental, career-related, and just flat-out life stressors brought them together. When Bryn left the Managed Healthcare industry after 12 years, to dedicate her full-time focus on The Dark Mark, she knew she had to call Marshall to let him in on the opportunity. The two of them are so excited to now be running The Dark Mark from www.darkmarkcards.com
- Without the help and support of our friends and family (aka The Dark Markers), we simply would be a 15-year-old-thought.
