Project Description
- Our mission is to open a medical spa focused on bettering the whole person. We want to instill confidence by not only helping people feel comfortable in their own skin, but also by sharing our journeys, and hopefully motivating others.
- One problem we would be solving is by offering a positive environment where people can voice things they want to improve physically. There is not a lot of opportunity for medical weight loss counseling in the area, and since this can be a sensitive subject, we want to create the most positive and welcoming environment.
- There is minimal competition in southern Indiana, but the entire community is growing and would be a great place to establish a medical spa. There are plenty of businesses nearby and it is a fairly large area with minimal competition.
- Our company wants to create a happy, compassionate environment where people feel welcome and feel their most beautiful. My best friend and I both struggled with depression at one point in our lives and know how it feels to not feel comfortable in your own skin, so we want to help everyone around us find their confidence! One problem that we would solve is that the few places in the area that offer medical weight loss do not have the most welcome and compassionate mentality so we would like to remedy that. I have also done several years of medical weight loss and have a successful algorithm I would like to promote.
- I am seeking funding because I would love to create this dream practice, and hopefully become a role model for local girls. I would use the funding to obtain training and supplies so that we could start the business strong.
- My team is currently just my best friend Kara, who is a registered nurse, and of course my self a nurse practitioner.
- I would love to thank anyone in advance who takes a chance on our dream! Working the front lines of the pandemic in healthcare was incredibly difficult, but it did help me to realize many of the goals and dreams that I had for myself. Seeing patients struggle made me share my mental health journey and struggles by writing my memoir. I feel like this business would be one other way I could help people to feel their best, not only physically, but emotionally by sharing my life experiences even further.

- Kara and I met call working in the emergency department at the local Children’s Hospital over a decade ago! We became best friends and even worked the front lines during the pandemic. We both strive to be examples especially to young girls that truly anyone can overcome obstacles placed in their way, and achieve their goals!
