According to Megan Green…
“Hair Care is a basic need.” The fact that we live in a world that requires us to depend on others to make us feel beautiful and confident is not sustainable.”
While there is growth in a natural hair movement and shift to embracing our full selves, millions of girls around the world do not have access to the information and the tools due to financial circumstances. MVG’s mission is to ensure that little girls around the world learn the basics of hair care and styling regardless of their circumstances.
Therefore, MVG Naturals has committed to teaching 1,000,000 girls via the MVG Crownworkshop... self love via hair care and hair styling workshops that will be free of charge to the most deserving areas.
“I am going to places where these deserving little girls do not have access to wifi, YouTube and most times a cell phone. With my hair care line, MVG Naturals, I struggled for a long time because I realized that the people who would benefit most from my products, would not have access to it due to the price point… And that did not sit right with me so I wanted to do something about it”
MVG Workshops started in Los Angeles and expanded to schools in NYC and Oregon this fall. Therefore, this MVG shirt and tote bag was created to raise funds to continue this work and support a workshop in South Africa and other places around the world and country.
Specifically, this campaign is to support a "MVG Crownworkshop" in November workshop will be conducted in South Africa in the township, Khayelitsha in collaboration with Side by Side tours and Earth Child Project.

I am seeking funding because I want to grow my brand and the Crownworkshop to other places around the world and country. I have been working on my business for more than two years and after investing in myself for over 10 years, I am now open to assistance to build my dream and continue to walk in my purpose.
This funding will assist me with this trip, supplies, workshops in South Africa and creating the infrastructure to expand it to schools around the country and vending my brand at the Capetown Naturally Hair Festival in December.
MVG TEAM
Megan Green, Founder/CEO
“Service isn’t one act of kindness”, it has been a lifestyle for me. I have been a leader and advocate for marginalized groups and people of color throughout my whole career. I have dedicated my life to serving others since my college days advocating for people suffering from homelessness in Philadelphia to now volunteering my hair care and styling services to the Skid Row homeless population in LA via My Friends House Foundation. In 2012, after experiencing a life changing mission trip to Chicago, I then led a service break trip to San Salvador, El Salvador with Project FIAT advocating for women, men and children via faith based missions with Villanova University.
I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology Villanova University and a masters in Communication Management from the University of Southern California. With my unique background working in the aerospace industry for seven years, facilitating dialogue around race and difference, designing corporate training, managing scholarship programs and becoming a hairstylist as a child to sustain myself, I am now equipped to marry my creative and corporate world via a lifestyle brand, MVG Naturals and the newly launched Crownworkshop.
I started making products as a child and in 2013 developed an avocado based product business that I began building in 2016. I have learned a lot as an entrepreneur and now I want to make more of an impact through a social enterprise. As a stylist, I’ve always focused on equipping my clients with knowledge and tools to ensure that they themselves were self sustainable and not dependent on her services to feel confident. I also learned that this work is critical for young girls to flourish and thrive. Therefore, I am now ready to take my knowledge, work ethic, experiences, tools and resources global to make an impact.
