Crepe Corner was created when chef/owner Natacha Legein decided to leave her bank job, team up with her mom, Chantal and open up a deliciously authentic French/Belgian café. The café gathered a loyal following; customers raved about the authentic French flavors in items such as the gallette des rois, macarons, sweet and savory crepes and some very yummy crepe cakes!..all handmade from scratch!! Yes, even our pesto and Nutella is handmade...and the tasty Vegan and Gluten-Free options...to die for!!
Coming from war-torn Congo, to Brussels, Belgium (her father's home country) where she enjoyed the smells and tastes of fresh pastry in authentic cafes, Natacha always dreamed of owning a small café filled with delicious homemade offerings. She was always an excellent cook, mastering recipes handed down from her mother and honing those skills cooking for friends and family. Knowing that she wanted to live in the US, Natacha especially imagined just how wonderful it would be to open such a café in America....that little girl's dream came true!!
The first location was poor; hidden away from view and thus ALWAYS referred to as a "hidden gem"...to grow, Natacha knew she had to move! Problem was, having invested all her life savings on the first location, moving and paying for the required build-out was going to be a huge challenge. Natacha considered a few funding options, has raised some money on her own and then she stumbled upon ifundwomen...it was a perfect fit!
If funded, Crepe Corner will expand and thrive, the funds will complete the build-out, equip the new location and keep this dream alive!! Natacha is asking for your support, and thanking everyone for reading her story and helping her to reach her goal.
