Come Up LA is a monthly marketplace that amplifies Black entrepreneurs by creating a safe space to mature, build and flourish. While scaling into a national platform to encourage entrepreneurs in opportunity zones, and ascending into a global platform with the incorporation of an interactive online marketplace for Black entrepreneurs.
Come Up LA provides a platform that fosters the importance of establishing generational wealth. Doing so collectively while creating economic grow and reducing unemployment in the community.
Come Up LA is working to solve the problem of economic growth and unemployment by encouraging the recycling of income and revenue within the community. Which leads to the encouragement and growth of Black business, while too creating employment opportunities for the community.
Currently our physical reach is Los Angeles and additional surrounding cities. The goal is to expand to other cities that do not traditionally have large scale Black events in addition to expanding to areas deemed opportunity zones which will likely have a population of Black entrepreneurs, creatives and brands that need support in creating and supporting a space for economic growth and education as much of the landscape of the neighborhood changes due to the influx of those outside of the community purchasing real estate. The wider impact Come Up LA wishes to have is to expand the events to include the promotion of Kid entrepreneurs, financial literacy, business incubator and making this a platform that extends globally within the diaspora by creating a online interactive virtual marketplace.
Receiving this grant will allow Come Up LA to take the steps needed to scale to the national and global hub that we know it can be. Being able to hire a team, as Come Up LA is currently a one woman team, implement new marketing strategies, in addition to expanding content and reach with diverse event offerings and build an online digital interactive marketplace. These are huge steps that require capital to be done successfully and professionally.
