What is Dancing Through the Curriculum (DTC)?
We are a nonprofit dance organization that has been in existence for over 5 years, reaching girls considered at-risk through dance and after-school tutoring at local schools and community centers.
What age group is Dancing Through the Curriculum designed for?
We have programs for girls ages 3-14, and offer an assistant teacher program for older teens (15-18).
When will the dance season start and end?
We follow our local school schedule. As a result, the dance season starts in August and ends in May.
How often are classes held?
Classes are held for participants 2-3 times a week.
Can I volunteer to help instead of giving money?
Yes! We need volunteers for our Dance Classes, Girl Talk Sessions, and Book Club! Visit our website and provide us with your contact info.
Do you accept students in your dance classes with special needs or learning differences?
Dancing Through the Curriculum provides dance to ALL students. Ashley has experience teaching students with a wide variety of special needs, and is happy to individualize instruction to help your student be successful. If you or your student has a particular special need, learning difference, physical disability, health issue, or behavioral concern, please contact us before or during enrollment to discuss how we can best accommodate them and ensure accessibility.
