Bushwick Grind is a Brooklyn based coffee shop and café with a mission to serve as a community-focused establishment providing guests a welcoming environment where they can enjoy delicious, locally sourced, high-quality food and beverages.
Hello, I'm Kymme Williams-Davis, and my husband Raymond and I are proud owners of this extraordinary community café offering healthier food options. Since opening our doors nearly five years ago, Ray and I have made bold moves toward what we believe our customers and community demands. Our little Mom & Pop Shop business line has progressed from just coffee and pastries to a full breakfast, lunch, and brunch menu, to catering and food services. We have also had the opportunity to support small home-based businesses to launch their product and services via "popups" in our space. We are Goldman 10KSB alumni, and M/WBD certified.
It has been an incredible journey, and we do not plan to stop here. Ray and I are employing the same determination, skillset, research, development, and planning to execute yet another new business line - urban farming. We have presented our strategy to several outlets, including 1010 Wins Small Business competition, and won first over 700 other small business owners. In these uncertain times, it is easy to see why Ray and I have strengthened our commitment to end the cycle of death and illness, which are preventable by accessing healthier foods. We must know and control what fuels our bodies to the best of our ability.
With your help, Bushwick Grind will relocate to a new space with a courtyard. It will reinforce our community engagement by offering an authentic farm to table experience while increasing overall education and visibility to the bountifulness of producing food.
Did you know there are over 600 community farms in New York City? Many maintained by volunteers and local children and families in the community. With your help, we can grow the food on your fork and teach kids and neighbors to do the same.
100% of the proceeds raised are for the infrastructure of our new urban farm. We are going to keep spreading love. It's the Brooklyn way!
