Breukelen Polished

Breukelen Polished is an eleven-free, non toxic nail lacquer that is made for every type of person with their health in mind. Breukelen Polished prides itself in being the grio of Brooklyn through nail polish. Telling a story of its native hometown through the names and colors of the lacquer-from people to places to lingo from Brooklyn.

Most nail polish brands are toxic and contain carcinogens that are harming women of color at an extremely large rate than their white counterparts. Breukelen Polished has taken the healthier route by providing polish that is less toxic. 

Our lacquer does NOT contain Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Toluene, Camphor,  Ethyl Tosylamide,  Xylene, Acetone, Parabens, Wheat and Eggs. These carcinogens are all linked to damaging not only the external but also internal areas of our bodies. Some have been linked to cancers, nausea, headaches, and even birth defects. 

I am seeking funding to be able to provide more educational resources to the community about toxic beauty products, healthier options we can choose as a community and to expand Breukelen Polished to evolve past nail polish towards a brand that provides overall healthier beauty options for the body and the mind.
