How being a person of color is acknowledged vs represented in our minds, the media, history and mental health is being overwhelmingly over shadowed by racism
Less focus is placed on the history of how people of color live through the effects of racial trauma. We have suffered for centuries in silence due to the lack of mental health representation caused by racial trauma addressing our emotional health and well-being in modern day society.
The way we express our stress, burnout and trauma are some of the most misunderstood and under represented emotional ills of our communities and society. How we heal, thrive and redeem ourselves as caring while inspiring more than just our own communities is also under represented.
Experiencing my own racial trauma, the sheer power of our BLM movement together with the support of the iFundwomen crowdfunding platform, I now feel empowered to take my works of heART go from concept to reality. All while being engaged in one of my favorite self care activities, "Being Black" and a creative, mother, daughter, sister, veteran, immigrant...during an election year and COVID19, with a deployed husband. Which has been overwhelming at times. I feel it is time that "Being Black" be associated with the Inspiration people of color really are by placing the focus of our transformations in context of how far we have come and how much further we are going.
I believe it is time our works of heART be represented in the form of Self Care Virtual Summits and Self Care Lifestyle Magazine for people of color. Owning our self-expression as wellness front and center as our culture and ancestry. This campaign features rewards like Source Yourself...Care Vol. 1 Pocket Guide and a Prioritizing Yourself...Care infographic.
Support the featured reward and be the inspiration for this years Source Yourself...Care Summit: Black & Inspired Self Care.
Through the combined efforts of self care motivational speaking and social networking our stifling emotions, untold stories of stress, burnout, trauma and unsung hero's will be shared in context of self care and personal development. Gaining 100% of the care we give to ourselves whenever we choose to be our self care. Our community includes individuals and groups that make it their business to express their self care as entrepreneurs, dancers, musicians, artists, healers, families, home makers and a persons of color, etc.
