About Black Girls in Fashion

Black Girls in Fashion is the UK's first data-driven media brand, widening the scope of industry opportunities, for women working within the fashion industry.

Behind the brand, we are a collective community of black women with broad industry experiences, using empowerment and amplification of others to transform the industry in magnetizing ways. 

Our Impact so Far

Since our inception — December 2018 — our content is rooted in the uprising of black powered brands, experiences and individuals by highlighting and illuminating those who are empowering the fashion world.

In doing so, we have organically cultivated a like-minded community of 2K + followers, held our first offline experience and re-imagined our brand to elevate and transcend the future of data-driven media.

We exist to not only collectively amplify black powered brands but to also create discourse around challenging social topics that bring to light, the plight black people and people of colour are subjected too. 

With that, we aim to continue creating impactful, original and empowering content to share this on our social channels and at our digital & offline experiences, in the hopes of spearheading the transformation of the fashion industry.

How we're raising funds

We dream of launching our online digital hub to share compelling content and stories written by you, the community. A sacred haven, if you will, to launch a membership portal for young girls and women to converse, learn and cultivate meaningful connections with their industry counterparts.

It's a way for you, the community and wider audience, to be a part of a transformational change we at Black Girls in Fashion are both excited and dedicated to creating.

Yet, to continuing fueling and expanding the awareness of our vision for our digital & offline experiences, we must increase our streams of revenue to not only pay black creatives fairly for their time and energy but also consider the costs of investing in our future digital space and producing our fashion summits.

Founder, content creator and CEO of Black Girls in Fashion, Debora Tonet's passion for widening the scope of opportunities for black powered brands, is deeply rooted in her focus and determination for blending the intersection of the arts, business, and Entrepreneurship.

DEBORA TONET — FOUNDER

Creative visionary behind the reimagining and design future of our brand, Edinah is the art director bringing our visual strategy to life. She is a multi-disciplinary artist who uses blends her eye for visual aesthetics

In celebration of LFW, we launched our first-ever offline experience in the fall/autumn of 2019. We brought together multi-faceted women to share and discuss various ways of becoming an entrepreneur, within creative industries.
