Part social lounge, part tasting room..all vibes. BABEL LOFT + TASTING RM is the FIRST Black women-owned and operated membership social club and micro-distillery in New York City.
Bridging how and what we imbibe, our micro-distillery enables us to host the Babel Spirits brand tasting room, highlight our premiere spirit, BABEL GIN, and develop our spirits portfolio.
As an evolution of our current community space, beloved cocktail lounge, ODE TO BABEL, our intention is to continually push the envelope in how we create experiential spaces, build community, imbibe, and express unapologetic joy through connecting IRL.
Our space will house two full bars, ample seating, light faire, and a 5 gallon column still- which will support our in-house spirit development of botanicals for our gin, amari, and next, our American Rum.
BABEL LOFT + TASTING RM MODEL
New York City has seen an increases in member-based social clubs. This new breed of clubs inspired by London's social club scene, mirrors your favorite bar and lounge experience at a luxury price. BABEL LOFT & TASTING RM introduces an accessible member model that embodies ethos of how we gather.
Our member based 4TH floor loft will serve as a space for creatives and professionals to converge, celebrate, and discover Babel Gin, and new Babel Spirits.
Babel Loft & Tasting Rm will offer $900 annual memberships ($75 monthly) and a drop in option.
The Feel
Three skylights illuminate the 2,500 sq ft. loft space. Seating hugs the walls inviting intimate conversation. Curved architecture and touches of terracotta bring a subtle warmth and ease. Music and art are ever present.
Beverage Program
The Babel Loft + Tasting Room cocktail menu will feature craft-cocktails made with seasonal ingredients, your favorites spirits, curated Babel Gin cocktails, and new Babel Spirits as we continue to expand our portfolio. We will also feature minority owned spirts brands on our bar shelves.
Food Program
Babel Loft + Tasting Room, will offer light bar bites influenced by the cultures of our community, and highlight our favorite chefs through our chef residency dine in series.
Founders
Marva Babel and Myriam Babel, Founders of Ode to Babel, Babel Spirits, and Babel Loft + Tasting Room will be at the helm, directing strategy, operations, and experiences.
