Hi! My name is Allison Kent. I am 28 years old, a new momma to a beautiful 15 month old girl named Aspen, fur momma to a fluffy Goldendoodle, a wife to the most supportive man and the founder of Aspy Hair Extensions. Yes, my daughter was of course the inspiration behind the name! 

I am a licensed hairstylist and extension artist of 10 years now. I own a business where I specialize in bridal and event hair and have been fortunate to be very successful in my field. Hair is my biggest passion. Creating is my therapy and without it, I'm simply not me. How lucky am I that I get to make people feel beautiful through my art? While working as an extension artist, my constant refusal to use lower grade hair extensions lead me to develop my own brand.  I was having the same issues over and over . It was NOT an overnight process. I worked in silence. I worked until the wee hours of the morning while growing my baby in my belly. I went through hundreds of manufactures, receiving samples, attending Skype meetings, nailing down my ethics and refusing to defer from them even a little. I finally found exactly what I was looking for- a manufacturer to make high grade, luxury quality, ethically sourced hair extensions. All of Aspy Hair Extensions are ethically donated by donors and proudly manufactured in a factory that employs over 200 people who receive high wages, health and dental benefits and wonderful work conditions. 

Next, I began to design to color lines. By providing a wide rage of modern colors, I knew that I could cut out the hairstylist having to physically color the extensions to match the client. Plus, I knew from working as a hairstylist, hairstylists hate having to color extensions before installation- it is a huge pain! They would finally be able to order extensions to match multidimensional client colors. I followed the world's top colorists, I studied Instagram for latest trends, saved thousands of photos on Pinterest and finally narrowed down the most common hair colors that people are wearing across the world. My brand is high end luxury, without the luxury price tag. The product is amazingly priced for the quality and quantity of hair that you receive. With other brands, the consumer is left to purchase up to 5 packs of hair for a full head installation, consumers only need 2 packs of Aspy Hair Extensions max. We offer more hair per pack then many leading competitors. The hair is 100% human hair and a Russian and Mongolian mix. It is thick from root to end, has zero silicone coatings, and is cutically in tact which means all of the hair is in the same direction preventing tangling. I began to create the website myself, again working for over a year to complete it. My biggest pet peeve as a serial extensions wearer myself was how confusing all these hair extension websites were. I often didn't purchase products that I would of because the websites were just not user friendly. Another problem, another solution I can create!
