Ascot Manor is the first (non-celebrity, hey Venus!) black female-owned, socially conscious tennis apparel, active and leisurewear brand for men and women that invests a percentage of our sales back into the business to help support and sponsor highly-skilled under-resourced competitive junior tennis players.
Every professional needs the right quality tools to keep them in their top spot and to increase their skill level. And, this can’t be truer than for the professional world of tennis.
As the company to offer the first-ever patent-pending tennis utility jacket that lets you play and effortlessly travel with your tool—your racquet—we at Ascot Manor know that when gifted amateurs are at work, honing their craft, they need quality tools and apparel to help mold them into tomorrow’s world-class leaders, champions and professionals despite their socioeconomic status.
With the move towards minimalism picking up speed globally, we were inspired to create apparel for both women and men that effortlessly takes you on and off-court while focusing on the foundations that matter most in tennis—cultivating talent in those who have already acquired the skills, but more specifically, elevating vulnerable, gifted young players who are most in need of staying focused on developing their skills.
We launched September 1, 2019, and immediately made news, however, just a few months later news of COVID-19 began to take shape and we had been placed on a costly standstill which effected sales, our marketing efforts, and more importantly, how we can support and service juniors players who so desperately need our help.
Tennis culture is a world of fine taste, high quality, and elite individuals. We would never want to take away from this, in fact, we want to uphold this standard and build upon this legacy. Tennis can cost a family up to $80k for a child to play tennis, yet the average US annual salary is $54,000. Because tennis is played internationally, our goal is to create more US players and minority players who are superior in their skills and of a select group.
Over $250 million dollars is spent annually on the sport of tennis and manufacturers who pay the stars lucrative fees to wear their brands of clothes, yet the number grows of talented junior players who do not have the finances to transition to the pro circuit or continue on their competitive journey. Most people are unaware that competitive junior players train like the pros. They are often home-schooled, have rigorous gym workouts, tennis training, and travel nationally as well as internationally to play matches monthly. American kids receive a fewer than 50% of the full-ride Division 1 tennis scholarships, with the rest going to foreign players. Miniorities make up less than 10% in youth and professional tennis according to the USTA.
We partner with organizations such as the USTA, Certified coaches, and other tennis programs to identify junior players who were not selected for program funding but are in desperate need of it.
Ace White Sponsorship-Athletic sponsorship/endorsement and apparel for a year or more either directly through Ascot Manor or an Ascot Manor club member.
Ascot Red Sponsorship-Athletes will receive financial assistance for travel expenses, competition fees, and apparel (select items).
Match Grey Sponsorship- Through our one-for-one model, junior players will receive free Ascot Manor apparel.

Through multiple sales channels such as Amazon, Google Shopping, Independent online retailers, and through our e-commerce website, we have the opportunity to leave a major footprint as women of color in the sports apparel industry alongside brands such as Lacoste, Fred Perry, Adidas, Ralph Lauren and Nike.
Ascot Manor currently is currently working with a number of professional tennis players and top national junior tennis players as ambassadors for the brand to increase visibility and awareness of our mission.

The Mason utility jacket is part of Ascot Manor’s Inaugural Founders Collection that includes 20 designs for men and women equipped for performance, travel, and tennis-leisure wear.
With our initial investment we were able to launch our first essentials collection to help drive sales, set-up our fulfillment center, create and test the first prototype of The Mason jacket.

We never want to settle for anything less than top quality while keeping our products accessible, which is why we need your help to meet the demands of our customers and support in helping these athletes overcome financial obstacles.
We understand not everyone we sponsor will make it pro, but we are encouraging a generation focused on education as well. It’s well documented that kids who play tennis have higher GPAs, on average, something to be highlighted, certainly. But, another noteworthy factor to ponder, that affects junior players: the amount it costs to play.

No stranger to the world of Sports, Entertainment, Music, and Fashion, Ahlilah has been a recognized industry leader for more than 17 years. She is the Founder of The Tesla Group, the lifestyle PR-Marketing & Events agency established in 2007, and is widely recognized for representing and developing brands for top athletes, producing events, tours, and a wide range of productions, and in driving national & international PR campaigns.
As an Entrepreneur and competitive tennis player, Ahlilah observed how large numbers of skilled junior players were forced to drop out of the competitive tournament circuits after they had worked their way up the ranks in Harlem, New York. Through extensive research, including contact with coaches and retired professional tennis players, she formed a vision that would support these young players, who could not otherwise afford to continue to play tennis at the higher levels, to fully develop their potential and continue on to transition to pro-tours. Her desire to help these young players fulfill their dreams has now found expression in what she regards as her greatest accomplishment to date, Ascot Manor.
Kareen Borgella is a New York-based Fashion Designer. Kareen has worked alongside many well-known companies such as J. Crew, Armani Exchange, and Ralph Lauren just to name a few.
With more than 20 years of experience as a designer and an avid tennis fan, Kareen's goal was always to create exceptional garments. High-end fabrics, bold and fresh manipulations, constant and meticulous research go hand in hand with her strong desire and will to create something new and modern. Kareen combines her love for aesthetics with functionality and mixing fashion design with her technical design background. This has not only contributed to her knowledge of constructing clothes to perfectly fit the body but also how to properly provide precision in constructing athletic performance wear while implementing different textiles to create beautifully well-structured garments.
As a designer, Kareen hopes to leave her mark for her creative style with Ascot Manor, as well as for her designs that understand what is most efficient for today's power tennis players.
