Our mission is to create a beacon of light to welcome people into a safe space rooted in a home environment--home within oneself and within the world. In connection with the land and the wilderness, we come together as a family uniting our community in the present moment, honoring the memory of our ancestral past. We need a place to grieve, to mourn, to learn and grow. We continue to reenact cycles of harm and trauma which have been enacted upon us, and transferring this harm to our families and communities because we have not been given the space to heal. We are yearning for a place to gather, to rest, and to heal.
This is the path home. Araminta House is a place and space to gather and engage in compassionate conversations which unite communities and reconnect us to sacred, indigenous practices of being in circle and healing together. We envision building a place to provide integrative wellness services to: activists, artists, educators, parents, community leaders, front line workers, organizations and corporations who pursue the cause of social justice and health equity. These service providers, caregivers, and changemakers are those who work directly with the trauma and dis-ease of our communities, and who most need to remember the true course of living in nature as they serve the world. When we connect in nature, we connect to the truth within.
We will house small groups sharing mindful practices to people who work in activism, building wellness education, equity and social issues. At a time when safe living spaces are scarce and in disarray and when the rates of isolation, addiction, domestic violence, and mental illness are prevailing at unprecedented rates, we need a home and we need each other.
Our team of healing practitioners consists of individuals committed to creating safe spaces of healing and service to those who are on the front line, with the stewardship of a Director with over 25 years of leadership experience. We are seeking our initial seed funding for the concept deck, topography and first drawings for the site. This first step will pay the architects and the site survey. Even more, this first step will enable us to engage key stakeholders in becoming a part of this legacy.
Out of systems that are breaking down, we are back to our underground. This is the path home. Welcome.
Thank you for choosing to help move this mission forward and thank you for your help in creating wellness and reconnecting us to home, together.
