Amani Bath Spa

Our mission is to bring some peace to the world, one person at a time. Our first location is in Memphis, TN. Right now, in order to get a hot bath away from home, we have to drive almost 200 miles to Hot Springs, Arkansas. Also, a lot of housing is being built without bathtubs because if we have to draw the bath ourselves, we won’t take the time to do it. We want and need hydrotherapy and amazing spa services right where we live and we want someone else to take care of us.

The national spa industry grossed $12.1 billion in 2020, the first year of the pandemic. In 2021, spa revenues bounced back to $18.1 billion. The only way is up!

Amani offers soothing baths. Our tubs have whirlpool jets for massaging muscles and MicroSilk™ technology for oxygenating the skin. Of course, you can always choose to have NO technology, just nice soothing water or a steam shower to soak away your stress. Either way, we’re just around the corner when you need us. We also offer therapeutic massage, body scrubs, facials and body sculpting. We're here to take care of you.

We started renovating Amani’s new home at 306 S. Main St. in July, 2021. The original contractor had his hands full trying to figure out the best way to make the project happen. Unfortunately, by the time April of 2022 rolled around, he still hadn’t figured it out. We shifted gears, found a new contractor and project manager, got a designer who designs spas for Hilton and  things finally started to move. The thing is we were working under one budget with the first contractor. By the time we figured out we needed to shift gears, the costs of everything skyrocketed. Building materials, labor, fuel, everything cost three times more than when we started. Also, we didn't account for lead pipes bringing water into the building. Can't have a bath spa with lead in the water! So, $30,000 extra dollars later, the lead pipes are gone.

All of the above reasons are why we need help. After remortgaging my home, borrowing money from banks and using credit cards, I decided to reach out to you. I’ve already invested over $100k in this project. (This includes the purchase of the tubs, fixtures, removal of internal lead pipes, demolition of old walls, ceiling, etc., replacement of old ductwork, storage, architect plans, designer fees, etc). We still need around $56,000 to get our doors open. We need:

• Soundproofing (so we can keep the noise outside and let you enjoy the peace inside)
• To electrical installation (everything had to be re-done)
• To complete plumbing installation (faucets, showerheads, etc.)
• Light fixtures
• Flooring
• Signage
• Security camera system
• Lobby & office furniture
