Project Description
Aloria Cakes and Gourmet Sweets, Inc. is a custom order bakery in Astoria, New York. We offer delicious and beautiful cakes, mini cakes, and cupcakes, as well as Greek confections. Our products are hand made to order and in small batches with impeccable attention to detail, and we never use chemical additives or preservatives.
Our clients are couples celebrating weddings, families celebrating special events, our local Greek community, and retail outlets. Our clients are excited and satisfied by our products and our exceptional personalized customer service, and our business has grown steadily through word of mouth and social media advertising.
We are thrilled to offer the community confectionary works of art that taste as good as they look. Everyone should have something special and tasty at their celebration or holiday event, and we love being the ones who provide it. We have proven to be leaders in cake artistry and baking standards and we are humbled by our loyal client base.
Due to COVID-19, all our spring and summer bookings have been either canceled or postponed. We closed our figurative doors for one month in order to ensure everyone's safety, and to regroup and adjust our business as needed. When we reopen in May, we will need resources to help us maintain our business model--that is, continue serving the community with the best product and personalized service.
Unfortunately, even though our business has slowed, bills like rent and utilities have not. We operate from an actual bakery, so our overhead costs continue to be high. We love what we do, and have poured our heart and soul into every single aspect. We have spent countless hours, overnight shifts, and time away from our families in order to make our little kitchen that could a success. We are committed to our clients and want to come back stronger than ever.
