Project Description

Our goal is to become Philadelphia’s first black women led roaster and importer. The profile of various coffee beans is just as complex as wine in terms of aromatic and flavor profiles. We will receive accreditation from the Specialty Coffee Association of America so that we can further educate and train our team on sourcing, profiling and roasting coffee. We will source  our coffee from small, marginalized minority owned + managed farms and co-operatives, and give a portion of every sale back to the organizations that support the advancement of under served and underrepresented communities.

A portion of each bag sale is donated to Power Corps PHL, a local non-profit rooted in job skill development for minority youth in Philadelphia. We will continue the model of working with local nonprofits that empower and train minority youth and launch a plan to provide career opportunities in various sectors of the coffee industry including roasting, import/export, marketing and sales to name a few.
