Project Description
- All In Her was born in 2009 from the need to apply my creative abilities , education and fashion industry experience as well as produce income with a home based business. I began doing alterations, hosting jewelry making classes and practicing my sewing craft.
- I saw a gap in the retail market for garments that are interesting in shape , color and style as well as accessible. The high clothing market is relatively unaffordable to a majority of the population and I wanted to work my own creative design expertise within this gap. Creating these made to order garments allows me the creative flexibility to constantly explore silhouette, fabrics character traits.
- Taking my craft mobile allows more freedom and flexibility in the retail market than a traditional brick and mortar , added interest due to concept and a lower operational cost.
- The retail industry has been competitive and changing drastically for more than 10 years, shoppers are looking to connect with businesses and the personalities behind the products. I believe this is time to explore new avenues and more creative approaches to a not so traditional and stable environment.
- Pivot; has become the word over the last two almost 3 years, considering the ways in which we operate in business is vital to sustaining growth even in increments. Being mobile allows this. As well as providing quality garments made with care , time and skill that within retail ,actually needs highlighting.
- Juggling multiple responsibilities while dually growing my business utilizing personal income is not the most sustainable plan, deciding to take the step towards a new expanded part of my business by way of crowdfunding makes sense. - what will i do if the entire amount is not raised? Adjust the deadline and keep going, the project for me is bigger than me.
- will the entire amount be needed to purchase a vehicle? Some of the monies will be used to purchase the truck and the majority will be used for renovations made to outfit it to function as a working store. I worked with an architect and carpenter for shelving , storage, energy/power source , materials and permits.
