Thank you for checking out our iFundWomen campaign! Your investment in children and families will go a long way in benefiting underserved, marginalized groups.
Innovation Christian Academy (ICA) is a 501 (c)(3) startup K - 12 school founded in 2017 by three moms desiring child-focused, inclusive, faith-based education for their children. Our educational approach is rooted in love and acceptance during these challenging times where our faith sometimes is not represented in the best light.
Our founder had personally endured some significant challenges and it was placed on her heart to start a school as a positive way to direct her efforts, help others, and practice resilience. She asked her dear friends and fellow educators to partner with her as leaders, professors, and moms on the journey.
Our Board members have five children between them to help keep ICA grounded in education and motherhood first-hand.
How You Can Help
We are a school with a big vision taking incremental steps to our grand opening in Prosper, Texas. A core piece of getting there is having the capital to fund classroom materials, practical life and field experiences, and outreach. We will also host events that serve the community, children, and moms to raise awareness of the school and be servant leaders in the North Texas area.
We have a solid strategic and financial plan that will allow us to educate thousands of children in the future. ICA has truly found a gap in independent schools offering affordable faith-based education, inclusion, and diversity. Thank you in advance for believing in our work and supporting this awesome platform here on iFundWomen.
The ICA Experience
We follow a student-led approach with three academic priority areas: technology, medicine, and humanities. The school guides students through personal discovery toward a collegiate pipeline to become a resource in the global community.
Our educational experience includes instructional strategies, curriculum design and development, events, camps, collegiate resources, and elective courses to support the priority areas.
ICA educators observe and guide as appropriate for montessori-inspired learning. They create an environment of calm, order, and encouragement. ICA educators promote this type of student-led learning and help all students learn in a way that is most meaningful for them.
ICA educators help our students find their own strengths, skills, passions, and path through the use of practical and relatable materials. We are proficient at leading from behind as an art to support effective learning. We know when to intervene and when to step back.
Students require different environments to meet their developmental needs. We aim to remove intimidation from the classroom and testing environment to cultivate a fearless connection with educational concepts.
Our educators create learning environments based on national standards and well as emerging needs that surface in the classroom based on students expressed interest and current events.
