Valaurie Bridges Lee is the CEO and President of VB Consulting, an IT software consulting company, established in 2002. VB Consulting specializes in assisting colleges and universities with software implementations, development, staff augmentation ,and IT support services. In 2010, VB Consulting expanded globally, offering consulting services not only in the United States, but also Canada. Prior to establishing her own company, Valaurie worked for several Fortune 500 Companies including Waste Management, Oracle (PeopleSoft) and IBM, as a sales executive. Valaurie was employed by IBM in Los Angeles, California for three years, and worked for PeopleSoft, which is now Oracle, as senior implementation consultant. Using the skills and knowledge she learned from these major companies, she established her own company, VB Consulting and has been a successful entrepreneur for 18 years.
Valaurie attended the University of Georgia where she received a BA in Journalism/Public Relations. She then went on to pursue her Master’s Degree in Management Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University now Kennesaw State University. Valaurie is the recipient of the Woodward Academy Alumni Award for her outstanding accomplishments as a business owner and her contributions to the school.
In addition to being an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she is Project Management certified, also a certified member of Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (MBE), a Debutantes for Christ Mentor and Program Coordinator, Woodward Academy Alumni Board, and Board Member for Women After God’s Own Heart Ministries.
VB Consulting is a major sponsor and supporter of Sister’s By Choice Cancer Research Programs through New Life Presbyterian Church. She is the founder of the BVB Foundation which sponsors scholarships for women in technology and entrepreneurship. As serial entrepreneur, Valaurie is also the founder of The Wellness Spot, a fitness and day spa in College Park, Georgia.
In her spare time, she enjoys teaching Zumba, shopping, reading and spending time with her two daughters, Baileigh (14) and Blaire (13).
