38 years old, born and raised in Newfoundland At age 10 my mother died of cancer, shortly there after my father and I moved to Kitchener, Ontario My father remarried and myself being daddy's little girl didn't much like that. I was a golden child until rebellion against my step mother became my life and with that came all the ingredients to my drug addicted, self destructive recipe that almost took my life. At 33 yrs old , 1 .5 mths pregnant with my daughter I had a full blown stroke and aneurysm while asleep. The fear of what the effects would be to my unborn baby as well as almost losing my life was the significant turning point in my life. I strongly believe for my daughter's life and by the grace of God I was given another chance. The past 4 almost 5 years have been the hardest years of my life but I've grown more spiritually, emotionally, & mentally that I ever thought possible. Ive learnt family , love, and happiness are the most important things in life. My father, who was at first residential
then later a rather large industrial/commercial constructing business owner, never left my side ever and never did he judge me. On the contrary he talked to me like a friend, supported my decisions, and tried to aid in my struggle to overcome my hardships. During school years to try and keep me away from the boys, early adulthood to keep a close eye on me, and several times in between and there after just to make sure I could support myself he took me to work and introduced me to the finishing stages of a new build and or renovation as well as the job duties of a contractor (drywall/taping, painting and basic carpentry). With that he planted a seed that I now am trying to nurture and grow.
I was told early in my business adventure that , if you decide to become a business owner go into it doing something you know, and thanks to my father, general contracting I know. Wanting to make my father proud, apply my potential towards success, stability , and a future for my family and myself I created Inspira Custom Interiors.
