Project Description
Since our founding in 2013 Hastings Yoga has sought to provide a space for community to gather with the intention of offering yoga, meditation, breathing, and movement practices that help the community respond to the pressures and challenges of life with greater agency. We are committed to creating an environment that is welcoming to all, and we pride ourselves on being a sanctuary for those who may be in need of support.....physically, mentally and/or emotionally.
We offer yoga for the whole family, from pre natal, to pre school to kids, to tween and teen, to adult beginner and mixed level formats. We offer meditation as well as more advanced workshops not only in yoga movement, but also philosophy and other forms of mindful movement as well.
When the pandemic hit, we immediately pivoted and began offering classes online, so that the community still had a way to connect and engage during a time when we needed each other the most. Our motto became "Community now more than ever."
Unfortunately, during this time, we also lost our beautiful studio space and have been a wandering community ever since. It has been tough to say the least, with the competition of everything being offered online now, and the outrageous prices for local rent and renovations, making it almost prohibitive to run a small business anymore! But, we have persevered and even won The Best Of Westchester Yoga Studio 2022 while not even having a permanent brick and mortar studio!

Not only to the quality and value of the services we offer, but to the heart and soul of this local yoga and meditation community! We know that what we offer is invaluable in terms of the health and wellness of a thriving community. Contemplative practices that allow us all to reconnect to meaning and reflect on what is truly important are vital for our community to continue to be the place where we all want to live and raise our families. We value a vibrant, eclectic downtown, where the whole family and the whole community finds ways to connect and grow!
The pandemic also brought with it many blessings. Since we were forced to find studio space to rent, we quickly began foraging new lasting and sacred relationships with other women business owners, including Amanda from the local Dance Company Amanda Kupillas Dance. She and I have found that when women join forces and work together, we can accomplish so much more for this community than when we go it alone.
Hastings Yoga and Amanda Kupillas Dance have been at the heart of this Community, serving families and individuals for nearly a full decade, and we need your support to rebuild!
Jointly, we have found a new studio and have signed a lease. This studio requires renovations. Walls built. floors laid, electricity wired, hvac systems upgraded and etc....As you can imagine, the cost for all this is daunting and we can only make this work with your support.

Are Hastings Yoga and Amanda Kupillas Dance going to be sharing a new space?
Yes. Hastings Yoga + Amanda Kupillas Dance will be moving to their new location at 45 Main Street in Hastings on Hudson.
Are Amanda Kupillas Dance & Hastings Yoga going to be creating one business?
No. Both businesses will remain separate entities.
When will the new space be open?
The lease is signed and construction is under way. We are so thrilled to be opening in the new year! Projected Opening around February 2023! But, maybe sooner!!!
