Allow us to begin by simply and wholeheartedly saying thank you. Thank you for your interest in our small-batch, black, veteran, woman owned winery. Mia Amore Wine Company is a start-up small batch micro-winery, retail shop and tasting room opening in Smyrna TN in the Depot District. We specialize in hand crafted boutique small-batch wines produced on-site. Helping us raise $35,000 will allow us to set the foundation of the start-up phase in the 5 phase sustainability plan for the business. This money will cover the up-front expenses.

Company Overview: 

Mia Amore Wine Company will be the first Black, Veteran, Woman owned winery to open in the state of Tennessee. Owner, Lovely Gatlin is on her way to paving the way in the wine and spirits industry as a gateway for other boutique brands to launch in this under represented industry where less than 1% of wineries are black or female owned in the United States.

We believe there’s an untapped market of wine enthusiasts looking to embrace a brand of quality wines that speaks to their level of sophistication and admiration of wine culture. In Tennessee, there are over 70 operational wineries generating 40 to 60 million dollars annually, employing over 500 people statewide. However, revenue generated In Tennessee makes up less than 1% of the U.S. market although growing by 300% in recent years. As Nashville continue to break records with the cities tourism and our relationship with the most respected Direct to Consumer platform, we are confident and excited to launch our wines state and nation wide. 

Our intent is not to become your average retail wine shop selling fermented grape juice, we plan to provide a wine tasting experience that will expand the market and grow even more of the market share in a booming area. Although we are surrounded by successful wineries and vineyards we believe we will be a pleasant addition to the industry due to our unique way of transporting customers imagination and curiosity about Tennessee’s wine country. We believe wine itself is an unique experience in every bottle. And every bottle has a story where every day we will feature a wine and share it’s story, of diverse and inclusion of the wine’s origin, inspiration and the maker’s passion behind the brand. 

How can you support the launch and sustainability of Mia Amore Wine Company:

In order to complete all five stages of growth and development of our winery concept we will need to raise $250,000 total to secure the property, complete building out and fully stock the cellar and gift shop. As anyone who has started a business will tell you, “it’s not easy.”  And we don’t expect it to be. There are some long days and nights ahead of us and if we are going to succeed, it will take more than money. It will take passion, commitment and dedication in order to make Mia Amore Wine Company a reality. Wine is one thing that continues to connect people in a special way and we hope you can help us create and sell wines that will do just that.
