You choose your Persona

My business is called Persona operating under my LLC "Sugas LLC" . My motivation for my company is my son as well as my grandmother but most of all myself. My son motivates me because starting this business I am able to spend more time with him when he is not in school as well as teach him different fundamentals of running a business. My grandmother because she always tell me that I can do anything I set my mind to as well as myself , because the young adult in me may have been different if my community had things to do or safe places for me to be.

I originally wanted to open a space for young adults to be able to come and get away from whatever they may be going through in life. I thought about doing a bar, but I decided that I do know that young adults go through changes as well as each one is unique in their own way. As a young adult my way of surviving was putting on a persona. My space is a place where you can come and put on just that judgement free. So if you want to just sit and relax and have a smoothie you can do that, as well as enjoy your smoothie with your choice of an healthy and or non healthy meal. To give my smoothie bars space its own persona I added Liquor (shots only not mixed drinks) which would make it unique in its own way.  Showing that is okay to eat healthy and live that healthy life, but it is also okay to let your hair down and enjoy your evening and if you would like still eat something healthy or non healthy with your drink. There are a lot of school in the surrounding areas so I figured this would be a great opportunity to give back where I would have the student most improved each month receive some type of gift card as appreciation of their hard work. Lastly I would allow the space to be rented for various event ranging from charities, birthdays etc.  Some challenges I think I might face is the community accepting such a diverse business, due to it being in one of the cities in Cleveland with the lowest poverty rate I'm hoping that it is just a door opener for other businesses owners to slowly uprise the community. 

My hardest problem that I am having now is that I am a single mom with minimum help. So I now have the space that I purchased while in foreclosure so I pay delinquent taxes that was owed at purchase as well as I pay for renovations that are being done and the current tax on building while still taking care of home , all with my own money I make from my 9-5. I have a had time finding funding due to this being a new business with no previous income history. So If I were to win I would pay the tax I owe on space down as well as I would be able to purchase product pay for licensing as well as be able to pay for furniture so I am able to meet my deadline I made for myself of the summer time opening!
