For Yoga practitioners (Yogis) the Yoga market in Africa is fragmented. Finding the right yoga offering can be frustrating and time-consuming. It can also be challenging to know if a teacher is qualified or has the right credentials.
For Yoga Teachers (YTs) in Africa there is limited support to enable them to to thrive. Our research shows that the average Yoga Teachers in Africa earns < $ 200 a month. Yet they provide a much needed service, supporting their students achieve great mental and physical health.
Yoga Experiences Africa is an innovative online platform that simplifies the process of finding, verifying and personalizing yoga experiences, while empowering local yoga teachers to access a wider student community.
By bridging the gap between teachers and practitioners, we not only promote wellness but also support the livelihoods of local yoga teachers across Africa.
