Project Description
Who are we?
My mom and I started Mind Body Spirit Holistic Wellness to empower, teach, and support women and their families on their health and wellness journey. We did this because we have health issues of our own. Finding care and someone who will listen has been one of the most difficult journeys either of us has faced.
What do we do and why do we do it?
The healthcare industry is becoming increasingly challenging for individuals in our area. We have seen doctors come and go regularly, a lack of mental health care, and a huge push to prescribe medications rather than find the problem. Alternative therapies can offer a way to work with our healthcare providers. We offer classes to teach ways to unblock energies, individual and group wellness coaching, and other therapies that can relieve some of the burden of seeking medical assistance. That’s not to say that we are replacing a medical provider. Instead, it’s quite the opposite, we want to be a complementary service to the doctors.
Our local population is growing and we currently service around 35 miles outside of our city. With additional funding, we could provide online access, video calls, and retreats. This would allow us to serve many women who need our help.
Mind Body Spirit is a place for women to find alternative therapies. We offer classes and workshops, have classroom space available for practitioners to use for their specific modality, and have a small retail store. The retail store offers essential oils, meditation supplies, a small (growing) apothecary, and metaphysical supplies for our growing community.
Where's it all going?
We are seeking funding to get our classes and workshops off the ground. We have located a facility that is just right for our needs. The funds we receive will be used to secure the location. Any additional funds would allow us to make the space our own. If funds remain, we will use them to create additional classes and pay for advertising.

What is Holistic Wellness?
Our holistic wellness solutions are designed to nourish your mind, body, and soul, promoting overall well-being and balance.

Where's all that money actually going?
The funds that we receive are mostly going toward the rent of the new location. We want to secure at least six months of rent before moving forward with the space. The remaining funds will be used to purchase tables, chairs, massage tables, and additional office furniture. If anything is remaining, it will be used to market and advertise the new space.
What classes are you planning to offer?
We have a huge list of classes we've been wanting to add to our current lineup of classes. Right now we have Energy Healing, Vision Board Workshops, Women's Wellness Groups, Aromatherapy (including specialized classes for kids and pets), and so many others. We want to add Reiki, meditation, and sound healing, and have the ability to allow other professionals to have a space they can use to teach classes as well. We also want to have a space where we can help women who have been out of the workplace learn new skills.
