Women's Coworking Hub

The Mission of EmpowHer Workspace is to help working women and entrepreneurs develop a supportive network by providing a community of like-minded and inspiring women, so they can grow in their career and develop their passions.

Our space will be designed for women who are unable to work efficiently from home or their current workspace and need to create more balance between work and family. Some may find themselves in a lonely or isolated work environment. They may feel as though they do not have the proper technology or space to work efficiently, and they desire to be part of a community and collaborate with others to learn, grow and attract new business. This space will help them to reduce their own overhead costs so they can focus on their career, while working in a safe environment where they can confidently pursue their goals. This non-competitive space will be focused on supporting, inspiring and collaborating with others.  

Our Vision is to create a community that brings working women together to support one another, work more efficiently and achieve the growth and success they desire. Freelancers, solopreneurs, small business owners and remote workers can collaborate and get the support they need through educational opportunities, peer to peer coaching and networking. Our community is dedicated to helping women achieve tremendous growth. It will inspire women to take action and will very quickly become the best place for women to get the career growth they wish for.

The coworking industry is rapidly growing, with an anticipated growth rate of 21.3% from 2021 onwards. There are more women owned businesses today and more people working remotely. The number of professionals working from coworking spaces is expected to increase 158% from 2020-2024, amounting to roughly 5 million people. As of this year, 56% of working professionals expect to work remotely at least part-time and 29% full-time.

Our shared workspace will provide all the furnishings and technology needed to operate in business. This will include private offices, flex space and open seating. There will be private conference rooms of various sizes, phoning rooms, podcast studio and social media room. There will be open space designed for group interactions such as networking events, social gatherings, trade shows and classes of various types. Our large community kitchen will have all the amenities to make our members comfortable. It can also be used as an event space when needed.

A business address and mailing services will be available for members. There will be Wi-Fi, smart televisions, white boards and projectors. Printers will be available for print, copy, scan and fax needs.

Our foyer and front desk will allow ample seating for guests waiting to meet with members. There will be a community shop where guests and members can purchase other products and services offered by our membership. This may include published books, artwork, photography and other various products. Also available in the store will be various services offered by our members such as coaching sessions, marketing packages, health and wellness courses and more.

This self-funded project has become a huge undertaking, and I cannot do it alone. The funds raised here will support the buildout of our new 7400 sq ft coworking space and be used to purchase all the tools and resources our members will need to be successful in their business. This includes office supplies and printers, AV and conference room technology, as well as office furniture. 

Our Founding Members include professional women from the Rochester area, who are ready to see this workspace come to life.
