Project Description
- My mission is to provide quality and honest car repairs and to teach women especially, the basic fundamentals of owning and caring for your vehicle
- Many people go to get their car fixed and don’t even know what they are paying for or why. They just accept it because they need their transportation. This has opened the door for shady mechanics and practices and I’d like to help eliminate that!
- also! Many people who drive older or used cars ruin their vehicle because they don’t understand what services and maintenances are needed to keep a car in good running conditions, and don’t even understand why. Sometimes so simple as even checking the oil can literally save your motor!
- Car Bae inspects with customers and shows exactly what you need and why. And will even teach you in person or thru video as repairs are made and also teaches you things to look out and other valuable information useful to owning a vehicle. I am seeking funding because I have been providing this service for A few years but I’ve just got a building 4 months ago and it’s taking a lot I still need a lift and other things to make the shop as “different” as I can from typical car shops in Cleveland Ohio. I also want to teach the youth and have actual general information classes with hands on learning activities and to do that I need learning materials and , basically practice vehicles. I also want to provide each student with a beginner tool bag that will fit right in the trunk!
As I mention this is a female shop. Car bae (me) is the mechanic. There’s also body work/collision and paint women! A woman who tints windows! A woman who fixes bikes! And a women who does auto sounds! I need to be able to teach. So that I can grow a network of women Car Baes. The goal is to get more women in the field, or even understanding the Auto Repair world!
