Hello backers! We hope you enjoyed the long holiday weekend - we know we did! Thanks to all of you who came out to help us celebrate & break in the roof for a sneak preview of what's to come.
If you made it to the party you saw that there are some walls up & we have a bathroom. Well, this week we were notified that we have been approved for our SBA loan & with the remainder of the funds from this campaign we have been able to finish up our equity spending and start the closing process so we can complete construction! If you have seen me in the past month you know this was weighing heavily on me and it is an enormous relief to be able to finally start closing out this process.
I am WAY overdue for a social media shout out post on our instagram and big reason for that is that this has been a very emotional process. I can hardly write this update without tearing up because I am so grateful for the support & excitement about our growth.
You may be wondering now that we've met the equity spending, do we still need to continue to raise money? The answer is YES! If we're able to push to our goal we'll be able to fund a legit green roof & herb garden for some rad roof to bottle brewing. We weren't able to include this in our original ask because there are tax incentives for green roofing, we just don't have the cash up front to finance it. So PLEASE share this with 5-10 people you think would love some hyper-local ingredients in their kombucha, a green roof to hang out on, and to support an independent Brooklyn business.
