Texas Speech-Language Hearing Association Convention 2024!

Dear friends and family,

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to Joybound! As we progressed through the campaign, we were concerned about having enough funds to attend the California convention as planned. The same day I decided to pivot away from California, I received an email from the Texas state convention for speech-language and hearing. With in-state booth pricing, and it being within driving distance (hence no airfare for my team), we had the EXACT amount raised to attend! I registered Joybound as an exhibitor and we attended the Texas Speech-Language Hearing Association (TSHA) convention in Ft. Worth last week (pictures attached)!!!

In further magic, as most of you know, Piero runs a tour company and had enough miles saved up to cover a ticket for me to fly back to attend the convention with my team.

The conference was a HUGE success! I was able to personally present our stuttering curriculum to hundreds of speech-language pathologists, professors, clinic directors, and graduate students. Our booth was surrounded by 5 school districts who got to see us in action for three days. On top of that, dozens of the other exhibitors stopped by to get information. We ran out of all 200 flyers before the conference ended. While people are not allowed to make purchases in the exhibit hall, we had several conversations with school directors about our purchasing models and how to submit orders.

We are excited to see what grows in the next 90 days as potential purchase orders pass through the various school departments and then on to us. Everything will go towards refilling the honey pot to attend the national convention in Chicago in July, translating our stuttering curriculum into Spanish, and starting development of our next curriculum for children with language disorders. I will absolutely keep you all posted on the fruits of this campaign. All of which YOU made possible and for which I am overwhelmingly grateful. Thank you so much for your support, compassion, and generosity. You each have a special place in my heart.

All the best,
