Last weekend (April 21st), my husband and I loaded up into an Enterprise truck rental with a lift gate and drove to 3 stops in the Miami area to pick up 3 brand new machines still in shrink wrap and packing and 2 used machines. We drove all the way down into the Everglades from Sanford, FL and back in one day. We now have 10 machines in storage and ready to be placed at locations. We are SERIOUS about this company and growing it as quickly as possible.
Funny thing y'all....I am very used to being able to do almost everything my husband can do. I have been no stranger to getting my hands dirty and working hard all day until you collapse from tired bones. I found my limit over last weekend. These vending machines weigh 3 times that of a refrigerator. I tried and tried to help my husband even pivot the machine up onto the appliance dolly to be able to move it onto the lift gate and into the truck. The machine laughed at me! Not literally, of course, but I felt like it was making fun of me as I struggled to get it to even budge. We are now hyper aware that we must bring along another able bodied, strong man to help Carl next time we set out on this type of adventure. Thank God that along each stop, there was at least one man ready and willing to help Carl move the machines. Then, when we got home, a few of Carl's brothers from another mother helped him, and we are so thankful!
As Bilbo Baggins once said, "We are going on an adventure!". I am thankful to be granted this opportunity and excited for what the future holds!
