THE BIG PICTURE

The travel review and recommendation world is changing. Searching for top things to do in a destination or using other current resources online is completely overwhelming, while many of the best recommendations for our upcoming trips are right under our noses. And it's too often that we don't find out about them until it's too late. There is a huge gap in the ecosystem for searchable, detailed travel content from people you know and trust. It's time for a change. It's time for Trvlpage!

 

WHAT IS TRVLPAGE?

Trvlpage is an app and website where you can easily log the details of your own travels and connect with friends so that you can plan future trips with recommendations from people you know and trust. Or as we say it: Reflect, Connect, Explore. Easily upload and keep track of the places you've traveled to, where you stayed, what you did and the restaurants and bars you went to. On the flip-side, search for the exact destination you're traveling to or scroll a feed of your friend's recent posts to get inspired and save them for future planning.

 

OUR MISSION

We're on a mission is to bring trust back to the world of travel recommendations by making it easy to find and use your network's experiences to plan trips. From that little restaurant in Nashville that your friend swears by to the swanky hotel that another stayed in during their trip to Singapore... Trvlpage is dedicated to helping travelers get the tips that matter most to them and eliminating that terrible feeling when you get back from a trip, only to find out that someone you knew had an incredible experience that you wish you had known about before spending all that time and money. 

 

CEO & COFOUNDER

Trvlpage is led by CEO and Cofounder Gabi Klapman. After a few post-grad years in marketing she fell in love with the idea of building software and went through a coding boot camp where the initial idea for Trvlpage was born. That idea turned into a deep passion that couldn't be ignored, so she quit her job in software development in order to pursue Trvlpage full-time.

 

TEAM

Gabi is joined by her Cofounder and Chief Product Officer, Michael Small. Michael has nearly a decade of experience in the travel industry and product management. The team is rounded out by a few other passionate team members who assist in Marketing and Operations. Having experienced the issue many times ourselves, we're driven and well-positioned to help the world solve this problem!

What was the motivation behind Trvlpage?

  • Trvlpage was created from the confluence of two key problems that travelers face... I wish I had known and I wish I could remember. I wish I had known pulls from the gut wrenching feeling of getting back from a trip only to find out that one of your friends, work colleagues or someone else in your network went to some amazing restaurant or had an unforgettable experience. You spent a lot of time planning and spent money going there and now it's too late! I wish I could remember stems from the lack of resources to log the details of our precious travel memories and easily share them with friends. It takes time making lists for friends when they ask for travel recs because we want to be helpful. Trvlpage solves both of these problems and more!

We get that this could be useful for everyone, but who is Trvlpage's main audience?

  • Our targeted audience are Millennial and Gen-Z travelers in the USA, but we've already received positive reception from international individuals as well. Discovery surveys that we've engaged in have indicated that these generations don't value recommendations from strangers on the internet... with many of the current review sites hosting recommendations from people of different age groups, backgrounds, etc.

What has Trvlpage done so far?

  • Trvlpage was launched in July of 2020 and and was live until February 2021. During this time our monthly user growth rate was approximately 19% with only minimal marketing spend. In February 2021 a TikTok of ours went viral (~225k views; ~27k likes; ~4k comments) and because of the incredible interest we received from the video, we took the app off the app store and engaged in a full redesign based on our early user's feedback. We will relaunch in May 2021.
