Time to Shine...One Amazing Child at a Time!

Time to Shine Learning Center was born out of the aspiration to provide quality childcare and early childhood education for children in our community. We provide day care services on a part time or full time basis. With a low teacher and student ratio, we are able to provide focused learning that allows children to develop holistically and achieve their true potential. We believe that learning isn't just about acquiring knowledge but also building character, independence, and a positive outlook of the world. It is our goal to instill in your children a love for learning that will lead to their full development physically, emotionally, psychologically, and socially.

We pride ourselves on being able to offer age appropriate education programs for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.

We serve as partners in the village that it takes to raise our children.

LaTonya Ward-Kirkman Bey is Time to Shine Learning Center's owner/director. LaTonya has an extensive superior background in education for over 22 years, having served as a teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator (with experience as an elementary principal and assistant principal.) She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. In addition, LaTonya also possesses the following certificates: Type 03 Elementary Education, Middle School Mathematics, Type 75 Administration.

Time to Shine Learning Center is seeking funding to expand the business into a childcare center so that more children and families can be serviced.  Specifically, the grant funding would be used to rent/lease a commercial space for our daycare (allowing us to pay ahead months in advance), purchase, and prepare the space for licensing and purchase additional materials and supplies.  In addition, funding will be used to hire well qualified staff and purchase or lease transportation (van).
