We are seeking funding to help with manufacturing costs which are quite extensive as well as storage costs. This money will allow the factory to release the product so we can start selling.
BUILDING A COMMUNITY
Based in Los Angeles, Thyrst Beauty's started as a blog in 2018 called "The Drip" covering topics such as beauty trends, skincare, health, and wellness. The goal was to educate and inspire women to want to commit to building their self confidence by doing more for themselves. As Allyson continued to learn about the beauty and the skincare industry (drawing on her own experience as a consumer and expert) she saw a need for a skincare line of anti- aging products.
"What I felt was missing was the total package in one comprehensive line; an anti-aging line that minimizes the number of product applications, provides you with all the necessary ingredients for better skin in a more compact platform, follows clean beauty standards using natural plant-based ingredients, and lastly sells at an affordable price point for the quality."
PHILOSOPHY
How will you quench your thyrst? The philosophy is beauty begins underneath. Self care is a lifestyle- not a 30 day challenge or half committed New Year’s resolution… It’s about setting intentions every day, making nutritional choices, best wellness practices, feeling guiltless for the splurge, making commitments to learn and grow physically and intellectually, surrounding yourself with good company, eating dessert first sometimes, doing what you love, finding the joy, and feeling confident and fabulous. It is unrealistic to think this is 100% possible all day everyday but there is no shame in that- it is an important piece of our message that it is OK to fall or fail- just get back up and to be resilient.
"I was determined to find an avenue where I could share my message and experience with others... and then voila- Thyrst Beauty was born. The overarching theme is let's find a 'thyrst for life' together...and by giving it our all, be better together."
INNOVATION AND INSPIRATION
The brand's inspiration came from Allyson's personal journey and her passion for self care, design, and sales/ marketing. Her desire to build a sense of community led to seeing a need for a product line that was unique but also would be for everyone. The packaging and formulas were really important each taking a year to develop.
"Florence Knoll (a famous architect who has be very influential in my professional life) said it perfectly 'good design is good business' which is why I have been very thoughtful about the design of the brand as a whole- the message, packaging, and formulas. I want the brand to be a reflection of me and what I have learned to be true and important."
