Teff & Co. is a Black, woman owned, vegan and gluten free bakery offering delicious plant based and gluten free treats using ancient grains. In just over a year, we have become a go-to bakery in the community for people looking for healthy, allergen free baked goods.
We've been operating for just over a year now with the support of family, friends, our loyal subscribers and the local community in the Washington DC area.
Baked With Love
We use the very best ingredients in our recipes that are organic, nutritious and flavorful. We love Teff, a naturally gluten free whole grain indigenous to Ethiopia and Eritrea - which is why we use it in many of our baked goods. Teff is packed with minerals and proteins and provides our baked goods rich and robust flavor and texture.
Teff & Co. is breaking the myth that vegan and gluten free goods do not taste good. With over 20 million people across the country facing gluten allergies and over 9 million people who have vegan diets, we know just how important it is to have good tasting options that everyone can enjoy.
We Love Our Community
We’ve had so much fun connecting with the community and bringing joy through our food to our customers in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia area. We've sold our goods at pop ups and markets as well as brick & mortar stores such as Mason & Greens and Creative Grounds DC.
